In an email seen by express.co.uk someone claiming to be Mrs Trump declares that the receiver could be in line to receive $18million (£13.9million). The email subject is “Good news from Mrs Melania Trump’ though the email is written in poor English. The email begins: “I am Mrs Melania Trump.”
It appears to say the US Government will deliver a cheque for the $18million (£13.9million) sum from Benin “as soon as you get back me” with requested information.
This information is the recipients home address, city, phone number and state in that order.
According to the United States Postal Service, the standard US address format is name or attention line, company, delivery address and then city, state and zip code in that order on one line.
The sender then gives a phone number which has the dialling code +1 (202).
This is the dialling code for the US and 19 other countries whilst (202) is the area code for Washington DC, where the White House is.
It continues: “You can call me or send me an SMS”.
The sender adds they can be added on WhatsApp.
However they add: “I prefer SMS because I’m always busy in the White House.”
Mrs Trump, who is her husband’s third wife, married Donald Trump in 2005.
They have one child, son Barron Trump.
Mrs Trump is only the second foreign-born First Lady in US history.
The other is Louisa Adams, the English born wife of sixth President John Quincy Adams.
Mrs Trump was born in Novo Mesto, Yugoslavia, which is now part of Slovenia.
She moved to New York City in 1996 and met Trump two years later.
