Celebrity stylist sells Cali-inspired Greenpoint home for $5M

Fashion stylist Katie Mossman has sold her Brooklyn townhouse, which was on the market for $4.99 million.

The home, at 76 Green St. in Greenpoint, was once occupied by an 1850s-era sea captain.

Mossman — who has worked with fashion icons like Karl Lagerfeld and Ellen Von Unwerth for magazines like Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and Interview — spent five years renovating the home, transforming dark interiors into a bright space that, she said, “felt like California.”

The 4,540-square-foot home is currently configured as a three-bedroom owner’s suite and a two-bedroom rental apartment.

It features multiple decks, a rooftop terrace and a backyard garden.

The owners’ home also showcases a great room with double-height, floor-to-ceiling windows.

There’s also a lower-level den with a small office above, a floating fireplace and floating concrete staircase that leads to a garden. Outside also boasts a detached studio.

The listing broker was Patricia Vance of Douglas Elliman.

Speaking of California, interior designers/product creators Robert and Cortney Novogratz opened their first store, House of Novogratz, in a bungalow-style home on Abbot Kinney Boulevard near Venice Beach in Los Angeles, where they also launched their spring collection of outdoor furniture.

Work continues on their “Pink House” at 114 Waverly Place in Greenwich Village — which they bought from Village eccentric Celeste Marin for $8.5 million — and their “Bird House” in LA.
