Hailey Bieber has given her first interview since welcoming her son Jack Blues Bieber with husband Justin on August 22.

The 27-year-old model – who skipped the Victoria’s Secret fashion show this week – spoke with WWD about her Rhode beauty brand.

This month she debuted legendary 90s model Claudia Schiffer as the face of her Rhode beauty brand.

She said she used 54-year-old Schiffer because she wanted her products to ‘transcend generations’.

Also in her interview she talked the challenges of being a boss. Hailey said she is aware the journey for her brand is never going to be smooth but she’s determined to forge ahead and continue her success.

‘Mistakes are going to happen… [there] will be bumps in the road, which are out of your control, but you need to pivot, run and work with them as they come,’ said the cover girl.

The Instagram star has used Claudia as the star for her latest skincare product Barrier Butter – an intensive night time moisturizing balm.

Hailey has now revealed she’s been keen to work with Claudia for a long time.

She told WWD: ‘I really wanted to use someone who transcended several different generations and demographics.

‘When I think of Claudia, the iconicness [sic] is just immediate, plus her reach and impact on so many different age groups. She’s somebody that I’m a big, big fan of.

‘I’ve been inspired by her as a model and her imagery has been on several of our Rhode mood boards since we started.’

Hailey previously scored a big hit with her Rhode Lip Case – a case for iPhones that includes a spot to hold a tube of the brand’s Peptide Lip Treatment or Tint.

And the model says she’d like to come up with more innovative ideas for combining beauty and tech.

She added: ‘I would love to continue playing in the world of tech merch – like the lip phone cases.’

Also on Thursday it was announced that Rhode has opened a pop-up store in London. 

It is has been a hard time for Hailey as her husband Justin has been mixed up in the ugly Diddy scandal because they used to hang out the Baby singer’s youth.

This week Hailey’s dad spoke out about the situation. 

Her father Stephen Baldwin has described the pop star as ‘one of the bravest artists ever’, amid accusations about his former mentor P Diddy.

Sean Diddy Combs was charged with a host of sex trafficking and racketeering offences with upwards of 120 alleged victims already coming forward.

The rapper’s relationships with Justin, 30, has come under renewed scrutiny in the wake of the allegations, claims which Diddy denies.

Justin himself is said to feel ‘disgusted’ by the allegations against Diddy and wants ‘nothing to do with’ him.

Now his father-in-law Stephen has told the MailOnline that he is grateful his daughter Hailey can be there for the troubled star and credited her for helping Justin ‘survive’.

The Usual Suspects actor said: ‘I am just glad he connected with a great gal to help him survive.’

Stephen, 58, added: ‘Their happiness and their wellbeing and their health is more obviously now better than ever.’

In August, Hailey and Justin welcomed their first child, son Jack Blues, and his grandad Stephen gushed with pride about the newborn describing him as ‘incredibly cute’.

He thinks it is only a matter of time until the couple take little Jack out publicly soon.

Asked about the new parents, who got married in 2018 after a whirlwind romance, Stephen said that new parenthood has been ‘very relaxed’ for the couple.

He added: ‘They’re just spending really sweet, private quality time with Jack and we’re just getting ready to watch him come out on the world here, come out on the scene.’

He also offered his babysitting services: ‘Sometimes grandpa can clean up. You know what I’m saying?’

Stephen opened up too about his pride in seeing the singer make his mental welfare and family a priority over his career.
