Democrats Offer a Mere $1.6B for ‘Border Security,’ Not Wall Funding

Democrats are looking to recreate a deal made earlier this year in an omnibus spending bill that President Trump signed, now saying they will budget $1.6 billion  for border security measures that do not actually fund the building of a border wall. Trump started the year-end border wall funding negotiations by asking for only a fifth of the funds he needs to build the border wall he promised to his supporters. Since that first offer, Democrats are now reducing the funding they will accept to $1.6 billion, with the catch…

Poll: Four in Ten Americans Hope to Avoid Talking Politics on Thanksgiving

A new poll released on Wednesday shows fewer than two in ten Americans are looking forward to discussing politics at the Thanksgiving dinner table, while four in ten hope to avoid political discussion altogether. The CBS News poll, conducted by telephone from November 15-18 among 1,103 adults, revealed 15 percent of respondents are “looking forward to” mixing politics with Thanksgiving dinner while 40 percent said, “they hope to avoid it.” Forty-five percent of respondents to the survey say they “don’t care either way.” The poll found 37 percent of Republicans…

Koch Brothers: Congress Must ‘Seize’ Lame-Duck Session, Pass DACA Amnesty

The GOP megadonor billionaire Koch brothers are asking the Republican-controlled Congress to “seize” upon the lame-duck session to pass amnesty for more than a million illegal aliens enrolled and eligible for President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The Koch brothers’ network of libertarian organizations — including the LIBRE Initiative, Freedom Partners, and Americans for Prosperity — have sent a letter to Congress asking that an amnesty deal is passed before the new year when Democrats will take the majority in the House. The deal the Koch brothers…

Nancy Pelosi Puts Down Marcia Fudge’s Rebellion After Wife Beater-Backing Letter Supporting Alleged Murderer Resurfaces

House Democrat leader Nancy Pelosi crushed an intra-Democrat revolt against her bid to retake the Speaker’s gavel next year led by Rep. Marcia Fudge (D-OH) after a 2015 letter from Fudge backing a disgraced former Cleveland judge who was convicted of brutally beating his wife resurfaced in the wake of the man’s alleged murder of her. Fudge, who had floated potentially running against Pelosi for Speaker and was pushed by anti-Pelosi rebel Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA), had attacked Pelosi as an “elitist” and “very wealthy person” out of touch with…

Democrats to Investigate Why Trump Wants U.S. Citizens Counted on 2020 Census

House Democrats are planning to “immediately” investigate the reason President Donald Trump wants American citizens counted on the upcoming 2020 Census. In March, President Donald Trump’s administration announced they would put the citizenship question back on the census. It has not been included since 1950. For seven decades, all residents living in the United States have been counted on the census but have not been asked whether or not they are American citizens, making it impossible for the federal government to know the size of the citizen population versus the immigrant population.…

Orange County’s Booming Foreign-Born Population Coincides with Democrat Electoral Sweep

Orange County, California — once considered a conservative holdout in the blue state — has been electorally swept by Democrats in the midterm elections, coinciding with the region’s booming foreign-born populations. Until the midterm elections, four of Orange County’s six congressional districts were held by Republicans, including Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) and Rep. Mimi Walters (R-CA). In the midterms, though, Democrats swept Orange County with wins in all six congressional districts, turning the region blue. At the same time of Democrat dominance in the county, the foreign-born population is booming…

Democrats Looking to Scrap Ban on Hats in Congress to Allow Religious Head Garb

House Democrats are looking to do away with a nearly 200-year ban on hats in Congress to allow members to wear religious head garb, including hijabs or kippahs. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Incoming House Rules Chairman Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA) proposed the change along with Rep.-elect Ilhan Omar (D-MN), a Muslim woman who wears a religious headscarf. A House rule in place since 1837 states that hats of any kind are banned from the House floor. “During the session of the House, a Member, Delegate, or Resident…

Judge Rules Against Extending Florida Recount Deadline

A federal judge on Thursday ruled against a request to extend the deadline for recounts in Florida’s U.S. Senate and governor midterm races, according to reports. U.S. District Judge Mark Walker rejected a request by Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL) and fellow Democrats to give counties more time to finish recounts. “We have been the laughingstock of the world, election after election, and we chose not to fix this,” Walker said in court. Walker vented his anger at state lawmakers and Palm Beach County officials, saying they should have made sure they had…

Report: Florida Democrats Urged Voters to Submit Absentee Ballots After Election Day Using Altered Forms

Florida Democrats urged voters to submit absentee ballots after Election Day, using an official form that had been altered to make it look like they were doing so within the legal deadline, hoping a judge would later allow the votes. That attempt to add Democratic votes, which critics say is possible election fraud, was reported Thursday morning by Ana Ceballos of the Naples Daily News, who notes the scheme has already been reported to federal prosecutors. Ceballos reported: A day after Florida’s election left top state races too close to call, a…

Congressional Black Caucus Pass No Confidence Vote in DNC Chair Tom Perez

The Congressional Black Caucus on Wednesday dealt a blow to Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez, passing a no-confidence vote against the embattled Party boss. Caucus members told Politico that Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) introduced the debate over the DNC’s controversial superdelegate system and eventually led to the motion passing against Perez. The mood inside the room is said to have been “heated” as the vote was argued. Members “felt that the DNC pitted them against their constituents,” according to Congressional Black Caucus chairman Cedric Richmond (D-LA) “So now if they want to be a delegate,…
