You know things are bad for the Democrats when even the Teamsters Union is calling on them to end the government shutdown.
One of the amazing aspects of this is that Sean OāBrien, the president of the union, is making these remarks while flanked by Republican Vice President JD Vance and Trump Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy.
Do Democrats realize how stunning these optics are and how incredibly bad it looks for them?

Teamsters President Sean OāBrien demanded an end to the government shutdown Thursday in a passionate speech on its impact on the U.S. aviation industry and working families.
Flanked by Vice President JD Vance and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy outside the West Wing of the White House, the union leader called on lawmakers, including Senate Democrats, to āend the shutdownā and pass a clean continuing resolution (CR) to reopen the governmentā¦
āWe took a position three weeks ago,ā OāBrien said Thursday. āPass a clean CR, get to the table, negotiate a deal. Do not put working people in the middle of a problem. They should not be in there,ā he added.
āAnd we have got to think about the families that are going to be affected. Think about when you have to tell your son or daughter they canāt play sports because youāre not getting paid. Think about when you canāt pay your mortgage. Think about when you canāt pay your tuition.āā¦
āPut the politics aside, get to the table, negotiate a deal, pass a clean CR right now, and then figure out the problems moving forward,ā he said. āLetās not compromise the safety or the livelihoods of working people. Pass a clean CR.ā
