‘There was a particular celebrity that I was really after romantically and I looked at his touring schedule and he was going to be in Japan

‘So I made sure that I was at this festival and that I would be one of the very few English-speaking people at the same festival as him, which I guess made me interesting.

‘Actually, both my celebrity hookups have been in Japan, but different celebrities.’

While Lily does not reveal the names of the men she travelled to Japan for, according to her 2018 autobiography, My Thoughts Exactly, she and Liam Gallagher joined the mile high club together back in 2009 on a flight to Japan.

‘When we landed in Tokyo, Liam said, in his distinctive nasal twang, ‘What you doing now? Why don’t you come back to our hotel’ I was like, ‘Yeah, OK’.

Speaking to Interview Magazine, Lily was asked if being famous presents a difficulty when trying to use dating apps.

‘It does, because I’m not really looking to go out with another famous person,’ she said.

‘Also, when I go on dates with other people, there’s a bit of a barrier in terms of, not so much here, but in England it’s a bit of a novelty to be on a date with me,’ she said.

Lily claimed she now feels ‘differently’ about the breakdown of their marriage, after writing the album in ten days last December.

When asked whether the new album is a ‘revenge tour’, Lily said: ‘It isn’t. I mean, I wrote this record in ten days in December, and I feel very differently about the whole situation now. We all go through breakups, and it’s always f****** brutal.

‘But I don’t think it’s that often that you feel inclined to write about it while you’re in it.’

‘That’s what’s fun about this record; it’s viscerally like going through the motions. At the time, I was really trying to process things, and that’s great in terms of the album, but I don’t feel confused or angry now. I don’t need revenge.

‘It’s not a cruel album. I don’t feel like I’m being mean. It was just the feelings I was processing at the time.’
