Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s style statement: Couple deliver subtle message of unity as they ‘mirror’ each other at A-list baseball game – as Royal Family’s battles continue
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
As lines are drawn within Royal household amid Andrew’s uncertain future, Prince Harry and Meghan appeared closer than ever as they stepped out for a baseball match in California last night.
On the same day that the Duchess of Sussex, 44, unveiled her brand As Ever’s collection of holiday-inspired ‘goodness’ including spreads and candles, she joined her husband for a sporty date night in Los Angeles.
The pair joined A-listers like Sydney Sweeney and Brad Pitt to watch the Los Angeles Dodgers’ take on the Toronto Blue Jays in the World Series and enjoyed the ‘royal treatment’.
And while American baseball fans were outraged that they were handed the best seats in the house, the Sussexes were seen smiling and laughing as royal onlookers noted their nearly-identical outfits.
At the same time that Prince Harry’s family struggles to contain the continued fallout from Andrew’s association with late paedophile Epstein, their coordinated looks may be perceived by some as subtle message of togetherness.
It would certainly not be the first time the Sussexes have used fashion to communicate the strength of their bond.
Whether it was during the early years of their relationship, as Meghan learnt the royal ropes, or after Megxit – the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s matching looks that might highlight more than just a couple perfectly in step.

Harry and Meghan looked loved-up as they took their VIP seats at last night’s star-studded match between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays during the World Series at the Dodger stadium.
Both of them opted to wear crisp white tops, with Meghan appearing to repurpose her favourite Givenchy button down while Harry chose a more casual, round-neck t-shirt.
They both wore dark wash jeans, as Meghan styled the slightly crumpled shirt with Veronica Beard’s skinny-flare, high-rise style that is another one of the Duchess’ closet staples and retails for £211.

While Meghan donned her black heeled Stuart Weitzman boots, Harry went with a suede chelsea boot, but they both picked navy blue outerwear to finish their respective looks.
Meghan’s slouchy sweater was draped over her shoulders while Harry opted for a sport coat in the same colour.
In addition to Meghan’s Gold Album necklace, the mother-of-two also accessorised with her beloved ‘Call on your angels’ necklace from Logan Hollowell with an eye-shaped diamond in the centre.

The names of Harry and Meghan’s two children, son Archie, six, and daughter Lilibet, four, are reportedly engraved on the pendant in a sweet tribute to the toddlers.

Last night’s glitzy baseball match, which they enjoyed from front-row seats despite the anger of some sports fans, wasn’t the only time the Sussexes have coordinated their outfits.
In fact, this shared fashion history goes back to 2018 – even before the couple tied the knot at St George’s Chapel later that year.
As the former Suits actress began undertaking royal engagements with her soon-to-be husband, Meghan was seen in sensible yet stylish outfits that suited the stature of the Firm.
For instance, when she and Prince Harry attended an education event in Birmingham on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Meghan picked a $298 navy coat, an unstructured £168 jumper from All Saints and black cropped trousers by Alexander Wang.
The result was an understated yet ‘suitably chic’ look that allowed her royal work to ‘take centre stage’ as Harry and Meghan promoted the study of ‘Stem’ subjects of science, technology, engineering and maths within a group of young school girls.
Ever the doting partner, Harry made sure to show his support for Meghan throughout by holding her hand and guiding her through the crowds that had gathered for their walkabout.
He also matched his outfit to Meghan’s, with the Duke of Sussex also opting for a navy wool coat paired with a white shirt and a jumper for the occasion.
It appears both Harry and Meghan are partial to navy; they have worn the colour on a number of royal occasions before they quit the Firm in 2020 and relocated stateside.

Meghan pulled out all the stops when curating her looks for the Sussexes’ tour of Tonga in October the same year, including a bridal-inspired white gown tailored for a black-tie reception.
The Duchess’s white column dress by A-list favourite Theia was the ‘yang’ to Prince Harry’s black tuxedo ‘yin’ as the couple arrived at the King of Tonga at Nuku’alofa’s Royal Palace.
It’s an outfit formula they would go on to repeat when Meghan, then pregnant with Archie, and Harry attended the Royal Variety Performance in 2018.
Her black and white look, which showed off her blooming baby bump, comprised an £895 sequinned top and flowing £850 black maxi skirt by London-based designer Safiyaa.
Harry opted for a black tuxedo with a matching bow-tie and a white shirt, as the Sussexes radiated happiness while preparing for the arrival of their firstborn, son Archie, now six.
Prince Harry matched his turquoise tie to Meghan’s form-fitting midi dress by Victoria Beckham for her first appearance since it was revealed they would be quitting The Firm
Two days later, it would be Meghan who dressed to complement her beau’s military uniform when the Sussexes attended the Mountbatten Festival of Music at London’s Royal Albert Hall as they prepared to bid farewell to the UK
For their final outing as senior royals, Meghan turned to designer Emilia Wickstead who designed a custom caped dress that perfectly matched the emerald green lining of Prince Harry’s suit jacket
Less than two years later, Harry and Meghan would announce their decision to step down as senior members of the Royal Family in a dramatic splintering that was dubbed ‘Megxit’.
The couple, once again, used their clothes to symbolise their togetherness and unity – amid criticism and scrutiny – as they carried out their final royal engagements on behalf of the late Queen.

A now-famous image showed Harry holding an umbrella over his wife’s head as they arrived in pouring rain at the annual Endeavour Fund Awards at London’s Mansion House.

Prince Harry, who attended the event at the South Kensington venue in his role as Captain General of the Royal Marines, wore a mess dress uniform complete with medals awarded from two tours of Afghanistan.
Meghan turned to Safiyaa, once again, and selected a stunning £1,295 dress in a sartorial show of support for her husband.
After all, it marked the final time that the Duke carried out an engagement in his official Royal Marines capacity, having inherited the rank of Captain General from his 98-year-old grandfather Prince Philip in 2017.
Despite their resignation, Harry and Meghan made a ‘bold statement that they refuse to accept they are no longer working royals’ with their quasi royal tour of Nigeria last year. They are seen here in matching white looks during a tour stop in Abuja

Despite their resignation, Harry and Meghan made a ‘bold statement that they refuse to accept they are no longer working royals’ with their quasi royal tour of Nigeria last year.
The couple were invited to Nigeria by the military for a three-day trip that comprised everything ‘you might expect from an official royal visit’ including receptions and charity visits, royal author Tom Quinn remarked.
‘Meghan and Harry’s speeches and their whole attitude has been designed to give the impression that they are still fully paid-up royals and William and his father King Charles don’t like it one bit,’ he continued.
It wasn’t just their demeanour that suggested the Sussexes had ‘gone rogue’ – but also their matching outfits seen for the entire duration of their regal-style visit.

They would mirror each other again when Harry and Meghan were named ‘Humanitarians of the Year’ at a glitzy New York gala earlier this month
Harry opted for a linen shirt and trousers in a pale, sage hue, and the couple both showed off the traditional wooden beaded necklaces their hosts honoured them with.
The Sussexes were visiting Nigeria on the invitation of the country’s chief of defence staff, General Christopher Musa, and promoting the Invictus Games, the sporting event for wounded, sick, and injured veterans that Harry founded.

More recently, the Duke and Duchess delivered a joint lesson in power dressing as they were named Humanitarians of the Year at a glitzy New York gala.
In addition to their award, it seems the Sussexes also share a love of well-tailored suits.
